Spouses of citizens also need 5 years. Residence counts from your first continuous permit (type A); time on a temporary permit (type B) counts half, and temporary protection time does not count — the count starts from your first type A permit. You need financial self-sufficiency and good character. A citizenship test starts in March 2027 (ages 18–64; exempt are graduates of Finnish- or Swedish-language schools and universities).
